CM Punjab Green Credit Program 2026 Apply Online for Eco-Friendly Loans & Government Incentives
CM Punjab Green Credit Program 2026
Punjab residents can now turn everyday eco-friendly actions into real cash through the CM Punjab Green Credit Program. Whether it’s planting trees, recycling plastic, or switching to solar power, the program converts verified green activity into a reward up to Rs. 100,000 per participant.
First introduced by Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif in December 2024, the program has been expanding through 2026, starting in Lahore and gradually reaching other districts of Punjab. Here’s everything you need to know, updated for June 2026.

How the Green Credit System Works
The program is built around a simple point-based reward:
- 1 Green Credit = Rs. 10,000
- Participants can earn up to 10 Green Credits, worth Rs. 100,000 in total
- Credit value depends on the type and scale of the activity — larger environmental impact earns more credits
There are 31 approved eco-friendly activities, grouped under six official categories:
- Air reducing emissions, tree plantation
- Water conservation and responsible usage
- Waste recycling, composting, plastic collection
- Land rooftop gardening, green spaces
- Biodiversity protecting local flora and fauna
- Awareness community education and clean-up drives

What’s New for June 2026
- Rooftop gardens now qualify for credits, effective August 1, 2026. Homeowners growing vegetables, fruits, or flowers on rooftops can apply under the Land category.
- Reverse Vending Machines (RVMs) for plastic recycling have been installed in several major cities, allowing residents to deposit bottles and cans for instant credit tracking.
- The program’s district-by-district rollout is ongoing, so availability still depends on your location — always confirm your district’s status on the official portal before applying.
