BISP 8171 NADRA Biometric Update 2026 Final Phase of CNIC Verification & Payment Release for Blocked Beneficiaries

BISP 8171 NADRA Biometric Verification

Every BISP beneficiary is required to complete NADRA biometric verification before receiving their payment. This process matches your fingerprint against NADRA’s records to confirm your identity, which helps stop fake CNIC entries, duplicate registrations, and payments going to the wrong person. You can check whether your verification is complete by visiting 8171.bisp.gov.pk and entering your CNIC, or by sending your CNIC number as an SMS to 8171.

If your status shows verification is still pending, you’ll need to visit a nearby NADRA office, BISP Tehsil office, or an authorized payment center to complete it in person.

What’s New: Payment Amount Increased to Rs. 14,500

The BISP quarterly installment under the Benazir Kafaalat program has been raised from Rs. 13,500 to Rs. 14,500. BISP Chairperson Senator Rubina Khalid announced this increase in February 2026, and it has applied since the Ramzan 2026 payment cycle. This higher amount is being paid out for the current April–June 2026 quarter, which closes on June 30, 2026, so beneficiaries who haven’t yet collected their payment should check their status soon to avoid missing this cycle’s installment.

The New Digital Wallet System

Since the Ramzan 2026 cycle, BISP has been introducing a Social Protection Wallet system, gradually shifting payments away from long queues at physical centers toward direct mobile wallet deposits:

  • Beneficiaries with a free Benazir SIM on Jazz receive their payment directly into a JazzCash wallet
  • Beneficiaries on a Telenor SIM are linked to an Easypaisa wallet
  • Withdrawal doesn’t require a smartphone — just visit any authorized JazzCash or Easypaisa agent with your original CNIC and registered SIM, and the agent completes biometric verification on their device

Important: This rollout is still in progress and not yet available everywhere, so continue checking the 8171 portal for your specific status. Also, make sure your registered mobile number is active and actually belongs to you — if it isn’t, you won’t receive confirmation SMS alerts and your wallet deposit may fail. Visit your nearest BISP office to update your number before the current cycle closes on June 30.
